Rapid Appraisal of Riparian Condition Training
Join us to learn new citizen science skills.
If you are already engaged in your local community through Bushcare or Streamwatch you are invited to participate in this free Rapid Appraisal of Riparian Condition (RARC) training.
RARC uses the measurement of riparian habitat indicators to assess ecological condition. The data collected from these assessments will help to understand waterway and biodiversity health changes over time. A RARC is ideally completed once a year over a period of years to assess changes.
This training will be facilitated by Lori Gould from the Australian River Restoration Centre, a skilled community practitioner who is always willing to share her experiences with others.
Date: Saturday 12 April
Time: 9:30am – 4:00pm
Location: Field of Mars Environmental Education Centre 220 Pittwater Rd, Gladesville 2111
Catering will be provided, and places are limited. Please email camila.drieberg@ourlivingriver.com.au with any dietary requirements after securing your ticket.
This training is supported by City of Ryde, Hunter’s Hill Council and the Parramatta River Catchment Group.
