Event description
"Rapture" invites you into a world where music, dance, and art unveil the untold stories of women and their journey towards healing. Inspired by the ancient Southern Italian ritual of Pizzica, this immersive show explores the healing power of music, interwoven with women's narratives through time.
Created by Rosa Voto, founder of Melbourne School of Tarantella, "Rapture" features captivating dance from the school's troupe, soul-stirring melodies from the Sanacori band, and a cross-cultural symphony with Iranian musician Misagh Zamani.
This multidisciplinary masterpiece delves into the mystical world of Pizzica, where music transcends boundaries to heal and unite. With live music, mesmerizing dance, evocative visual art, and poignant spoken word, "Rapture" highlights history, culture, and women's resilience.
