Event description

Join us for free Raranga/Weaving workshops with Te Wairua Palalagi. This is a series of four sessions, and we’d love for you to join us for all the dates.

Dates & Time:

🗓 Saturday, 3 August
🕙 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM each session

Please only book if you can make all of the dates.

Workshop Focus:
Participants will be guided through the making of:

  • 🌸 Putiputi (flowers)

  • 🧵 Bracelets

  • 🍃 Kono (small flax containers)

What’s Included:

  • All materials provided (pegs, hair pins, butter knives, tarp/i can provide that)

  • Harakeke preparation and care

  • Step-by-step weaving instruction

  • Kōrero on tikanga and the whakapapa of weaving

  • A warm, supportive creative space

What to Bring:

  • Comfortable clothing

  • Scissors & butter knife (if they have a pair)

  • A reusable cloth or basket to carry their creations
