    Event description

From the deserts to the sea, the plants of South Australia are as unique as they are beautiful.

Sadly a quarter of the plant species found in South Australian are listed as threatened and have a state listing of rare, vulnerable, or endangered.

There are lots of actions people can take to look after our native plants, but how do people care about plants if they don't know much about them?

Spend some time with visual artist Louise Flaherty getting to know some of South Australia’s most vulnerable plants by drawing them.

The workshop will involve an introduction to some of the rare plants grown at the Trees For Life Westwood Nursery and producing a postcard of one of those plants to share your knew found knowledge with a friend. You will also have your own drawings made from the workshop to take home.

    All art materials are provided.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

    Best suited for ages 10+
