Raw Beauty | Ecstatic Dance

Raw Beauty is a meditation on beauty in motion, inviting you to feel and express your inner grace while reflecting the unfurling, blossoming energy of springtime. Let the beauty, warmth and renewal of the season inspire your movement, turning each step and shape into a celebration of life, flow, and the joy of being fully present.

Expect a diverse range of soulful beats and melodies infused with flavors from around the world, guiding you from gentle, introspective moments to joyful, ecstatic peaks.

We follow the traditional principles of ecstatic dance:

• We dance barefoot (socks are also fine) to help us connect more fully with the ground (shoes are completely welcome if you have medical needs).

• The dance is held in silence to foster a meditative and introspective experience, allowing you to tune out of the mind and into the body.

• Sometimes, you may want to express with sounds, like screaming or singing—please express these in a way that honors your needs and respects others.

• We encourage you to dance exactly as you are. All parts of you are welcome. This is a supportive space for self-expression in body movement, in whatever form that may take for you.

• This is a fully sober event. We also ask that you refrain from using phones or cameras and bringing any expectations or judgments (including self-judgment). Simply be yourself while respecting yourself, the space, and fellow dancers.

• Consent is essential when engaging or co-creating with others in the space.
