RCA Angels & Volunteer Training (Merri-Bek)

RAINBOW COMMUNITY ANGELS ARE COMING TO MERRI-BEK!

During the two-hour training you will:

• overview of our core values of radical trust, solidarity and queer joy, and how they motivate what we do

• learn about how we use non-violent de-escalation techniques in our community action 

• engage in physical role plays of a typical community mobilisation

• discuss ways to get involved in the Rainbow Community Angels that are accessible and inclusive

• share our strategies for self-care and support as Angels

NB: The venue is to be confirmed closer to the date but will be in an accessible, community space in Mornington.

Attendees under 16 are able to train and volunteer as Rainbow Community Angels, however we require a parent, guardian or carer to accompany them and mobilisations. Children are welcome to attend with parents/carers but please be mindful that some topics covered and language used in training may not be appropriate for a younger audience.

Training is free, but please register so we know who to expect on the day and can send venue details prior to the event. Once registered, we will send you the venue address details 24 hours before the event. Please ensure you bring your photo ID so that we can validate your registration.
