RCoB Social Night - Tuk Tuk
Event description
Rotary is fun! Let's socialise. Everyone is welcome.
Enjoy delicious Thai canapés while you relax in the tropical garden bar. There is plenty of table seating and we will have the venue to ourselves.
When you arrive enter via the Tuk Tuk Bar on Gordon Street.
Raffle ($100 Tuk Tuk Bar & Restaurant voucher, Gift Hamper from state member for Cooper Jonty Bush MLA + more fabulous prizes TBA) and proceeds go towards student Chelsea Golding, who originally came from the western Downs and is now studying marine biology at The University of Queensland.
Chelsea’s particular area of interest is the conservation of sharks and manta rays. Chelsea has been offered an internship in the Philippines in 2024. The project, which is called the North Palawan Research Project combines marine research and social development with community engagement. The research is all conducted by the non for profit group LAMAVE and Rotary Club of Brisbane would like to assist her towards funding her placement as we found her enthusiasm for her research to be engaging and her research topic is aligned with Rotary International's humanitarian focus, specifically on sustainability projects.
If you have dietary requirements please buy the appropriate ticket and we will make sure you are able to enjoy a suitable meal with us on the night. Please make yourself known to the event organisers on the door when you arrive.
