RCS Official Visit - District Governor Tonia Barns, Rotary International

District Governor Tonia Barnes has prioritised her visit to Rotary Club of Sydney, and we have the good fortune to hear from our District Governor early in the Rotary year. Tonia hails from the Rotary Club of Kiama. When Tonia moved to the Illawarra, she had a range of clubs to chose from.

“They made me feel very welcome, I immediately had a voice in Rotary, and they had a variety
of interesting projects and activities. The Rotary Club of Kiama felt right for me and still does.”
This is the experience Tonia carries into her role as District Governor. Our Rotary International President, Gordon McInally encourages us as Rotarians, to ‘Create Hope in the World’. The Rotary Club of Sydney, as one of the larger clubs in District 9675, has a leadership responsibility within District 9675. Tonia will share with us her vision and plans for creating hope in 23/24 and how the RC of Sydney can play a role in this vision and plans.
