Join us for a rich learning experience and a convivial weekend.

Learn all the fundamentals with a property tour, Q&A sessions, and hands-on practical experience on a working farm that has been restored over the last 30 years using regenerative principles.

Martin will show and explain the history and philosophy of Jillamatong including chemical use, biodynamics, wholistic management, natural sequence farming, soil science and systems thinking. We'll talk about its impact on managing drought, fires, floods, grazing, weed and erosion control, waterways, fertility, vegetation and soil.

Date: Saturday 20 March to Sunday 21 March 2021

Time: Arrive 10am for a 10:30 am start on Saturday.

The workshop weekend will conclude at 1:30pm Sunday.

A tasty lunch will be provided on both days.

Workshop scope: There will be a tour of the property, activities, classroom presentations, demonstrations and Q&A time.

There will be the opportunity to take part in practical hands-on activities including compost pile construction, building leaky weirs, worm farming, and biodynamic preparation and application.

The workshop is suitable for farmers, scientists, policy makers, students, land managers, and anyone interested in the ways we can restore the landscape.

Take-home notes and note taking handouts will be provided.

Accommodation: There is a range of accommodation options around Braidwood.

Accessibility: This workshop will be conducted mostly outdoors, and involves walking in paddocks and up hillsides, so a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required. If you have any questions about this please contact the course coordinator.
