Event description

With electricity prices on the rise and winter in full swing, now is the time to look at ways to become more energy efficient and reduce your electricity bill.

Whether you own or rent a house or apartment, our energy efficiency expert will share simple low-cost actions and help you understand:

  • How to make sense of your electricity bill
  • The areas of greatest energy use in the home during winter
  • How to reduce your home energy use
  • How to heat your home more cheaply and efficiently
  • Some simple ways to insulate and draught-proof your home.

We'll also demonstrate how to use a compact thermal imaging camera to test for heat loss areas in the home. The camera will be available for residents to borrow through the Green Living Centre.

This workshop will be facilitated by Adam Corrigan, energy auditor, educator and founder of Your Energy Friend.
