Ready To Apply Launch Event
Description
Come and celebrate the launch of Ready to Apply — a new work placement program connecting young people with disability to businesses across Perth's south metro.
The event is a sundowner, opening with a Welcome to Country and a short introduction to the project (approximately 20 minutes), followed by an opportunity to network, with food, drinks, live music and activities provided.
About the project
Ready to Apply is a 10-week inclusive work placement pilot for young people with disability, neurodivergence or mental health challenges, aged 15–24. Participants complete four weeks of training, followed by a six-week placement with a local business, with peer mentoring provided throughout.
We are working with small and medium businesses across the south metro, with a focus on care and support, education, digital technology, manufacturing and construction. Businesses from all industries are welcome to attend.
