Ready to Fly

Join us at Ready to Fly, a family-friendly fundraiser in support of Clockshop’s 5th Annual Community and Unity People’s Kite Festival on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. 

Guests can participate in a kite-making workshop with Kite Master Stevie Yaeun Choi, enjoy small bites and drinks provided by elysian, and more. Kids in attendance will leave with kite-themed goodie bags that will make sure they’re ready to fly at the Kite Festival just a few weeks later. Proceeds will support the upcoming free Kite Festival at LA State Historic Park, which serves over 5,000 Angelenos annually, as well as Clockshop’s broader mission to work with artists to deepen the connection between communities and public land in order to build a future based in belonging and care.

Parking options
There is street parking surrounding the building. If you are driving, we recommend searching for parking on Clearwater St, Fruitdale St, and Worthen Ave. Please be mindful of two-hour parking on Ripple Street. We always recommend carpooling or ridesharing as parking availability can be impacted by neighbors like Salazar and Zebulon.

If you plan to arrive by bus, there are two bus stops nearby: 603 on Fletcher/Ripple and 182 on Fletcher/Crystal. If you are planning to bike, you are welcome to bring in your bike for safe keeping during the event.

There are two all-gender public restrooms on-site.
