Description
Ready to RISE is back!
Ever thought about starting a social enterprise, but weren’t sure where to begin?
Ready to RISE (Readiness and Incubation for the Social Economy) is designed to support women and non-binary people in Scotland learn about social enterprise and discover their potential to use entrepreneurship to make a living, work flexibly and positively impact their communities.
This is a free training programme, with the potential opportunity to access Firstport’s Pipeline Fund to help you take your idea forward.
This information session will feature social entrepreneur Elana Bader – Founder & Director of Darroch Nurseries.
Darroch Nurseries was founded in 2021 and is located in the Central Belt of Scotland.
They hand-collect hardy native tree seeds from Scotland’s wild places. These are germinated and lovingly raised for our bank of local provenance, native trees. They work with a varied range of people and organisations with interests ranging from mental health to urban nature, crofts and smallholdings, landscape-scale regeneration projects, and more.
