Real & Imagined Exhibition

The Queanbeyan Hive is proud to present Real & Imagined, a collaborative exhibition by artists Ingrid Ferguson and Lea Palij, opening Friday 17 October 2025 at 6pm. The evening will feature the Create Collaborate Collective bar and live music, setting the tone for a vibrant celebration of art and community.

Through different yet complementary approaches, Ferguson and Palij invite viewers to explore landscapes where reality merges seamlessly with imagination.

Ferguson’s semi-abstract works draw on remembered moments, atmosphere, and impressions of nature. Influenced by German Expressionism, her paintings capture light, texture, and emotion—moving between structured and abstract, real and imagined.

Palij’s Flora Nouveau series celebrates Australian native flora. In oil, she weaves botanical forms through flowing rhythms inspired by Art Nouveau, capturing both tangible beauty and lyrical movement. Her works transform fleeting natural imagery into timeless, poetic compositions.

Together, their works create a dialogue between memory and vision, flora and form, reality and reimagination.
