FREE COMMUNITY SCREENING

Rebels with a cause celebrates the personal journeys of four outstanding First Nations trailblazers from Queensland who against the odds created amazing pathways for future generations. In this screening we will meet Noonuccal poet Oodgeroo Noonuccal (formerly Kath Walker) – the first Aborignal woman to publish a book of verse as well as Birri Gubba Gungalu media innovator and radio host, Tiga Bayles who was one of the driving forces behind the establishment of Radio Redfern, and later a formative influence on 4AAA in Brisbane as well as The Murri School.
