What is Breathwork/Cellular memory release?
Leonard Orr — the founder of Rebirthing Breathwork — used the term “cellular memory release” to describe the deep energetic and emotional clearing that occurs when a person consciously breathes and reconnects with repressed experiences stored in the body.
Here’s a clear breakdown of what he meant:

1. The Concept of Cellular Memory
Orr believed that every cell in the body holds memory, not just the brain.
These memories can include unresolved emotions, trauma, or limiting beliefs formed during birth, childhood, or even in utero.
Over time, these unprocessed memories influence how we think, feel, and react — creating repeating emotional patterns or physical tension.

2. How Release Happens in Breathwork
During Rebirthing Breathwork, the continuous connected breathing rhythm increases energy (life force or prana) in the body. As this energy builds:
It begins to loosen and surface suppressed material — emotional pain, fear, or trauma that’s been held in the cells.
When the person stays conscious and allows the sensations to move through, instead of resisting, the energy pattern can dissolve or integrate.
This is what Orr referred to as a “cellular memory release” — the body and psyche letting go of old imprints so life force can flow more freely.

Health Considerations

· Pregnancy

By participating in Rebirthing Breathwork, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to this disclaimer.
A waiver of liability will have to be signed prior to the session.
