Rec Connect - Abseil, Bike and BBQ

RSL Rec Connect helps veterans and their families connect through a diverse calendar of recreational events. RSL Rec Connect events are held throughout the year in various locations across Queensland. Veterans and current serving Defence members, and their partners and children over 10 years of age are welcome. 

In this action-packed morning you will enjoy an Abseiling Adventure and a Mountain Biking experience, while connecting with other members of the Defence community.  

Conquering both heights and terrain, this half day adventure offers participants the opportunity to enjoy both activities. Please note you cannot register for one activity only. 

Following the activities a BBQ lunch will be provided.  

Requirements 

• This activity is available to Veterans, current serving Defence members, their partners, and children must be aged 10+ and all participants need to be comfortable riding a bike.  

• Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.  

What to bring  

• Activewear or clothes you can exercise in 

• Enclosed Shoes  

• Hat  

• Water bottle 

• Own helmet (optional, one will be provided if you do not have your own).

Please note that prior to the event, you will be required to complete 2 waivers, one from RSL QLD and one from the activity provider. This will be emailed to you after registration. All attendees will be unable to participate without completing both waivers.
