RSL Rec Connect helps veterans and their families connect through a diverse calendar of recreational events. RSL Rec Connect events are held throughout the year in various locations across Queensland. Veterans and current serving Defence members, and their partners and children are welcome.
Learn the basics of Blacksmithing in this highly rated workshop and create your own piece to take home.
During this workshop, you will see demonstrations from blacksmiths Rob Scully and Wayne Schmidt in drawing, upsetting, squaring, rounding, riveting and barley twisting.
This workshop requires no previous experience and is a great opportunity to learn something new with other like-minded people.
This workshop offers an exciting opportunity to go back in time and learn the basics of blacksmithing. The well experienced Blacksmithing will show you different techniques to create your own piece to take home.
Requirements
- This activity is open to ADF Veterans, current serving Defence members, their partners and children (must be aged over 16 years old).
Please note that prior to the event, you will be required to complete an RSL QLD waiver which will be emailed to you after registration. All attendees will be unable to participate without completing the waiver.
