Description
RSL Rec Connect helps veterans and their families connect through a diverse calendar of recreational events. Events are held throughout the year in various locations across Queensland. Veterans, current serving Defence members, their partners, and children aged 8 years and over are welcome to attend.
Create a plate that's truly one of a kind in this hands-on pottery workshop. You'll hand-build a ceramic plate and decorate it using a wide selection of stamps to create texture, personality, and a design that reflects your own style.
Experienced instructors will guide you through each step using beginner-friendly techniques, making this workshop suitable for all skill levels. Whether you prefer a sleek and modern look or something more rustic and organic, you'll leave having created a unique piece to be proud of.
Once completed, your plate will be glazed and fired twice before being ready for collection approximately four weeks later. Your finished piece can be used every day or gifted as a special handmade keepsake.

Waiver Requirements
Prior to the event, all attendees will be required to complete an RSL Queensland waiver. This will be emailed to you following registration. Participants will be unable to take part in the event unless all required waivers have been completed.
Pottery Breakage
Clay is a delicate and unpredictable medium. While every care is taken to ensure pieces are safely handled throughout the glazing and firing process, occasional breakages can occur. Unfortunately, this is a natural part of pottery and is outside the control of the facilitator.
