Winter McQuinn & Acacia Pip EP Launch @ Merri Creek Tavern
Event description
Long-time collaborators Winter McQuinn (Sunfruits, jade imagine) and Acacia Pip (PINCH POINTS, Slush) announce a split EP and a new single Working On Me, which is out Oct 23. Recently I’ve Been Missing The Colour Green is a collection of six songs that the pair has been working on over the past few years. It epitomizes their growing appreciation for the softer side of pastoral folk, indie rock, and other emotionally-driven, vulnerable songwriting styles. For fans of Courtney Barnett, Cut Worms, Cool Sounds and the like, this EP showcases the pair honing their knack for witty and thoughtful lyricism on themes of existentialism, daily struggles, and introspection. Recorded primarily on 2” tape in their home studio, the EP exudes a warm, cosy feel that complements its vulnerable lyrics and delicate melodies.
Catch Winter and Acacia as they launch the EP, backed by a full band featuring members from Quality Used Cars, Mature Themes on November 16 at Merri Creek Tavern supported by Jack Gaby (full band).
The Tav is a standing-room only venue, seating can be provided for people with a disability.
