Gippsland PHN along with Gippsland Family Violence Alliance and Gippsland Women's Health invite General Practitioners/ Registrars, Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses to join us for an engaging session featuring a short presentation on observable signs of family violence and referral pathways, a case study, and a panel discussion on how to respond effectively in primary care.

Learning Outcomes:
Identify and apply appropriate strategies to safely and effectively respond to individuals using family violence in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrate the ability to recognise and respond to individuals experiencing family violence in a healthcare setting, using trauma-informed and person-centred approaches.
The evening will begin with light refreshment at 6:00pm with the presentation to commence at 6:30pm-8:00pm

Kim has been the Principal Strategic Advisor for the past five years, bringing a background in Anthropology with a strong focus on systems of power. Her experience spans international and community development, and she holds a Master of Business Administration.
