Reconciliation Day Popup Choir 2025
Event description
Join the Reconciliation Day Choir – 2 June 2025
Come and raise your voice for unity and healing at Stage 88, Commonwealth Park, Canberra from 10am–12pm.
As part of Reconciliation Day 2025, with the theme “Bridge Now to Next”, we invite you to join The OZY Youth Choir Honouring Defence Service to sing to remember in a powerful popup choir singing "One and Free" and "The Anthem of the Desert Pea".
We will be singing for those who died on country and for country.
No experience needed—just turn up, learn the choruses, and sing from the heart.
Singers part of the 1000 Voices choir on Friday 30th will already know the songs, and those who want to be part of the popup choir, will be able to attend on the day and, after a brief practice, join in only on the choruses, so anyone can come and sing for Reconciliation on Monday June 2!
Whether you're part of the 1000 Voices for Reconciliation or joining for the first time, your voice matters. Together, let’s sing for change. Sing for connection. Sing for reconciliation.
Following on from our 1000 Voices event, we have been asked by Reconciliation ACT to put a popup choir together be part of the official opening of Reconciliation Week on Monday 2 June for our 2 songs One and Free and The Anthem of the Desert Pea.
