Reconciliation on the road - Port Adelaide

Event description

Reconciliation South Australia presents Reconciliation on the road in Port Adelaide.

With National Reconciliation Week coming up, what better way to think about the theme Now more than ever, than to come to a free workshop that explores the need for education settings to understand the 5 dimensions of reconciliation.

"Now more than ever, the work continues. In treaty making, in truth-telling, in understanding our history, in education, and in tackling racism. We need connection. We need respect. We need action. And we need change."

This workshop will support you to understand how education settings can create change through planning and implementation of reconciliation actions.

This workshop will cover -

  • What is reconciliation?
  • What are the 5 dimensions of reconciliation?
  • How can education settings engage in reconciliation initiatives?
  • What is a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and what is the best process for developing one?
  • How to implement the RAP in meaningful ways?
  • Understanding the theme for National Reconciliation Week in 2024 - Now more than ever

Workshops always include a Welcome to Country and will offer insight into engaging with local and broader community members.

These workshops offer plenty of opportunities for discussion, connection with like minded sites, and to ask questions!

Each workshop includes morning tea and a free lunch.

Register now to get involved, and get started on a Reconciliation Action Plan.
