Iain & Allen: Full Circle - Reconciliation SA 2025 National Apology Day Commemoration Film Screening
Event description
Reconciliation SA in partnership with Relationships Australia are proud to present a screening of the 2025 National
Apology Day Commemorative Film: Iain & Allen: Full Circle.
February 13 marks the anniversary of the National Apology. On February 13 2008, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd publicly
apologised, on behalf of the Federal Government, to the Stolen Generations - the Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families and communities by successive colonial and
Australian governments.
Each year, Reconciliation SA commemorate the National Apology by releasing a documentary film. This year's film, "Iain
& Allen: Full Circle"Â follows Iain Seymour as he embarks on a deeply personal journey to discover his
biological family. His brother, Allen, a devoted advocate for reconciliation and Stolen Generations education,
carries forward their late mother’s legacy. As Allen works to raise awareness and promote healing within their
community, he also guides Iain in understanding the significance of their shared history.
