Dolores Amos - Ranger D

Dolores Amos, also known as Ranger D, is a white woman of German descent. She is a conservation land manager with 35years experience working and living amongst our natural world.
Ranger D has a passion for the environment and has the ethos of embracing education in conservation. She believes that environmental education is fundamental to the future of our world and has spent the last 30 years working in R-12 schools and tertiary education centres as an environmental educator, Scientist in Residence and a Thinker in Residence. Ranger D uses her knowledge of native plants and animals as a conduit to learn about Australia’s shared histories in many areas of the curriculum and in support of wider community learning. Her connection with Country and her knowledge of the ecology of the Fleurieu Peninsula led her to investigate the use of natural resources as food, medicine, art and implements. Ranger D has spent the last 25 years learning from and working alongside members of the Kaurna community and other First Nations peoples throughout Australia.
