Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder, also called adhesive capsulitis, involves stiffness and pain in the shoulder joint.

Frozen shoulder most commonly affects people between the ages of 40 and 60 years, and occurs in women more often than men. In addition, people with diabetes are at an increased risk of developing frozen shoulders.

 In this interactive webinar, we will cover some of the essential bony landmarks, the anatomy of the shoulder girdle, the stages of frozen shoulder, signs and symptoms and treatment.

Presenter: Rafael Bucater

 Specialist in musculoskeletal massage therapy, deep tissue and remedial massage, and postural and biomechanical assessment.

 Rafael has a bachelor’s degree in physical education, a post-graduate degree in exercise physiology overseas, and a diploma in fitness, sports, and remedial massage, in Australia.

Rafael currently lecturing at the Australian Institute of Fitness, Adelaide campus in fitness and massage courses for the last 7 years.

Rafael Bucater has presented at the 2019 South Australian Sports Medicine FAST conference to sports trainers on sports massage techniques and self-care techniques and offers mentoring services and tutorials to new therapists.
