Connection is essential. Whether its peer led or found via other professional supports, through community, relationships or spiritually, connection helps individuals build trust, rediscover identity, and create a sense of belonging and worth beyond the eating disorder.

This month's event will centre on Connection and the caring role, and will explore how when struggling with an eating disorder, it can be hard to let anyone in. You may feel ashamed, protective of your behaviours or not sure if people will understand. This may create further isolation or loneliness.

Using intentional storytelling, our lived experience ambassador, will reflect on how care from a loved one can be a powerful force in supporting you to feel less alone. At the core of care is connection and being with you in way that’s steady and real.

This event will feature guided discussion and reflection questions. You will not be expected to share your answers to the questions.

Who can join this event?

Participants need to be 18 years of age or over and acknowledge the engagement agreement when registering. Registrations close 4 hours prior to the event.
