Yoga | Local Recreation Activation Series
Description
Looking for a gentle way to improve your wellbeing, reduce stress and move your body?
Join us for a free Beginners Yoga session at Rivervale Community Centre.
Suitable for participants aged 16 years and over, this welcoming session is the perfect opportunity to improve your wellbeing through gentle movement and mindfulness.
Delivered by OWLKEYME through their Project Zen program, this welcoming session combines gentle yoga, mindful movement, breathing techniques and relaxation practices to support your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Designed for beginners and those new to yoga, the class features simple, adaptable movements suitable for a range of abilities. You'll be guided through poses that help improve flexibility, balance, mobility and body awareness while learning practical breathing and mindfulness techniques that can be incorporated into everyday life to help reduce stress and promote relaxation.
Project Zen also introduces participants to nervous system regulation and self-care practices, creating a calm, supportive environment where you can reconnect with your body and mind.
Whether you're trying yoga for the first time, returning to movement after a break, or simply looking for an opportunity to unwind, this session offers a welcoming space to move at your own pace.
