Bike Tune-Up & Drop-Off Event 

🚲 Bikes are more than just rides – they’re valuable resources! 

Did you know: 

• NSW bike shops could generate up to 50 tonnes of rubber waste every year. 

• Australian homes may have up to 14 million unused tyres and tubes on old bikes – that’s 10,000 tonnes of material! 

Don’t let your old bike go to waste. In partnerships with Revolve Recycling, Penrith City Council brings back another free Bike Tune-Up & Drop-Off Event, to have your bike repaired, donated, or recycled – a simple step that supports the circular economy. 

What can you do? 

• Book a 15-minute Tune-Up timeslot (note: only bicycles can be repaired, not e-bikes or scooters). 

• Donate a bike you no longer use (no bookings necessary for bike drop-off). 

• Repairable bikes will be sold at affordable prices or donated to underprivileged children. 

• Unrepairable bikes won’t go to waste—they’ll be dismantled, with parts reused for other bikes, playground equipment, bike lanes, and asphalt.
