RECYCLE OMAHA: a Mini-Art Festival Celebrating Recycled Materials!
RECYCLE OMAHA is an artist-driven indoor mini-art festival that celebrates art and fashion made from recycled and reclaimed materials. This eco-friendly festival includes adult and student art exhibits on view at Clover 24, Omaha curated by Lauire Lamoureux and Molly Toberer, a dazzling sustainable fashion showcase curated by Sustainably LB, founder of Conscious Collections Fest, and co-founder of Swap Omaha, and 2 days of engaging make and take art activities led by local artists for hands on creativity. All artworks, fashion, and workshops feature at least 75% recycled, reused, or repurposed materials. This event is supported by a grant from the Omaha Venture Group of Omaha Community Foundation also in part by the Douglas County Visitor Improvement Fund, Creative Reuse Omaha, Cloverr 24 Omaha, and Sustainably LB. This family-friendly event is a fantastic opportunity for art lovers, eco-conscious patrons and adults, teens and children who appreciate the ingenuity of turning trash into treasure.

Beyond the Bins Recycled Art Exhibition and Textile Transcendence
Art meets fashion for our kickoff events! Inside Clover 24's Chip Fryer Gallery, visit an eco-friendly art exhibition featuring more than thirty of the region's artists whose practice entails incorporating recycled materials. Curators, Laurie Lamoureux and Molly Toberer integrate a presentation of clothing, collage, sculpture, wall works, and installation works made of everyday rubbish and reuse materials. Visit the 1800 square foot gallery in an old potato chip factory filled with possibilities for sustainable art you can interact with and purchase for your personal collection. Doors open at 5 pm for exhibition viewing. In tandem, this event will feature, a one-night only fashion showcase curated by Sustainably LB titled: "Beyond the Bins: Textile Transcendence" a sustainable fashion showcase featuring sustainable, pre-loved, and vintage collections starting at 7 pm. Intermission performance by artist Dawaune Lamont Hayes. Shop the collections and meet the designers, curators and artists after the fashion showcase. Curated DJ vibes by Daddy DJ / Errik Ejike from 6-9pm. Food and drinks available until 9 pm. This event requires one opening night ticket per person. All ages welcome. The art exhibition will be on view through May 9th, 2026.

All ages welcome to participate in make and take workshops led by artists using reclaimed, and recycled materials. $10 per day per person. 2 sessions per day. Any person under the age of 18, please have your adult present during the workshop. Any children under the age of 5 are free but must be accompanied by their adult with a purchased ticket. Please note: You only need to purchase one ticket per person even if you will attend both sessions per day.

- I want to attend the artist-led workshops, what will the activities be?
There will be all ages activities such as community natural dye-baths hosted by Wild Bloom Dyes; there will be sculptural vessel-making out of old magazines hosted by Letha Art; there will be flower-making out of plastic grocery bags hosted by Amy Robertson; there will be scrap paper postcards hosted by Yager Notes; there will be a clothes / bag mending area with free mending supplies hosted by Creative Reuse Omaha; there will be a paper mache and recycled glass painting hosted by Art Objects, and more. You can participate in any of the activities if you purchase a ticket:

- What if I only wish to attend opening night?
Great! If you wish to only attend the opening reception and fashion showcase on April 24th, then you must purchase a ticket for each person:
Beyond the Bins Recycled Art Exhibition and Textile Transcendence. Doors will open for viewing at 5 pm, and Fashion showcase starts at 7 pm. Food provided and a cash bar with non-alcohol options available. Gluten-free options available.
- Is this event indoors or outdoors?
All events for this festival will take place indoors.
- Are any of the workshops taught in Español?
Yes, there will be two workshops led by bi-lingual artists who will instruct in Spanish.
- Will the Creative Reuse Omaha Shop be open during the festival?
Yes, the shop will hold regular hours both Sat + Sunday April 25-26th from 11-3 pm.
- Will there be food and drinks available?
Friday, April 24th, there will be food and drinks provided during the reception for the artists and fashion showcase. There will be a cash bar opening night.
Saturday and Sunday, there will be food trucks on site to purchase food and drink from during the day from 12-3 pm.
