Recycled Sound Reimagined Hearing Aid Bank Fundraiser

Rotary Club of Springvale City is hosting a fundraising garden soiree to launch Recycled Sound Reimagined Hearing Aid Bank, our community hearing aid bank designed to connect people.

Recycled Sound collects quality donated hearing aids from all over Australia, assesses and catalogues them, then fits them to people who have no other way of getting help.

Our first priority group is refugees and people seeking asylum, because they sit outside almost every funded hearing pathway currently available.

Hearing aid banks exist all over the country. The problem is that the people who need them most don't know they exist.

Two barriers stand out - sorting and maintaining a donated inventory takes more volunteer hours than most clubs can find, and there's a real knowledge gap about what a hearing aid bank can actually do for someone.

Sorting and matching devices by hand takes volunteers hours, and every hour spent sorting is an hour not spent teaching someone how to look after their hearing.

Recycled Sound Reimagined Hearing Aid Bank and AI app is our attempt at solving this program.

The talented Maly Scruggs, a multidisciplinary fashion designer and miniature enthusiast whose practice combines craftsmanship, design thinking, and community-focused creativity will be there to create handmade headpieces and tie clips for purchase - if you do not want to miss out then we would love for you to purchase our VIP ticket which includes one of these!
