Red Dot Revolt is curated by Sydney creatives Kripa Krithivasan and Raveena Grover. It’s a space that challenges what it means to be a South Asian creative, holding room for artists across all castes, religions and cultures.
Watch the showcase and explore the art gallery until 8:45pm, then let your hair down for a dance party
headed up by Sydney’s hottest DJs @munasib____ and @jhassic, muso @nabuworld_ and dancers Smrithi and Srihari.
This is an LGBTQIA+, differently abled, and multiculturally safe and affirming event. As settlers, we are immensely privileged to work and perform on Gadigal Land - we acknowledge sovereignty was never ceded. This is and always will be Aboriginal Land. All profits will be donated to Palmera projects.
Palmera works to ensure vulnerable families in Sri Lanka are economically empowered so that they can prosper, make informed decisions about their livelihoods, and better care for themselves and their children.
To achieve this, they promote three core approaches that they have enhanced or adapted that have been proven to create real change.
Their approaches are focused on effective principles rather than prescriptive models which allows for our work to be guided by best practice while still meeting the local needs and context.
Learn about the programmes we run under each of these approaches that have and continue to impact tens of thousands of people.
We are aiming to raise $2000 for the projects. To donate on behalf of Red Dot Revolt, please visit this link: https://palmera.org/rdr2/.
If you wish to attend and have any questions, please reach out to the Red Dot Revolt team on Instagram (@reddotrevoltau) or email reddotrevolt@outlook.com. We will do our best within our capabilities to cater to any requirements, big or small. It’s important that everyone can enjoy the event.
