In Pursuit of Adventure - An evening with Red and record-breaking athletes Andy Donaldson & Yasu Hirai
Event description
To celebrate the launch of their new Pursuit changing robe, outdoor adventure brand Red Equipment is hosting a special evening at their showroom and studio in Sydney. Joined by three-time world record holder, Andy Donaldson and two-time Olympic Open Water Swimmer, Yasu Hirai, the evening will explore what it takes to swim at an elite level. Having both battled mental health challenges throughout their swimming careers, the guys share their personal journeys as they look back on some of the toughest challenges they have experienced, both in and out of the water.
Having just returned from his incredible feat of circumnavigating the Island of Maui while raising action and awareness for ocean health, Andy will share some of the highs and lows of this grueling yet truly extraordinary expedition swim – Epic Swim Maui
Yasu will be chatting to us ahead of his speech for the University of London at Team GB House for the Paris Olympics. He will share how he has come to terms with missing his third Olympics in 2024 as he works to return as a professional athlete, training for an Ironman series in 2025.
The Q&A panel chat will be led by the founding members of The Crusties, a local community swimming group based in Clovelly. Attendees will have a chance to meet and question the panel throughout the evening too.
Red will have their latest range of award-winning changing robes available to try and buy with an exclusive on the night discount for all attendees.
A small charity donation is encouraged when booking with all funds going to The Marine Conservation Charity, Australia.
