Book a songwriting masterclass with MC and performer Kween G on the 30th of September from 1 pm- 4 pm at the Red Rattler Theatre. Kween G will teach you how to structure verses, build catchy hooks and tell your stories through song. This workshop is ideal for poets, lyricists and hip-hop artists.
Kween G Cultural leader, emerging Afro-Australian Icon. Hip Hop artist, MC, community advocate and curator. Commitment to her own artistry and to supporting emerging artists is formidable.Kween G is often described as “consciousness-raising”, a versatile performer. In live music as a member of AfromBollo band lead by Yacou Mbaye -Senegalese master drummer & dancer . And in theatre playing key roles in Urban Theatre Projects Productions; 'Home Country', 'RightHereRightNow' & recently 'Nancy Deni's M'ap Boulé at Darlinghurst Theatre. Kween G is an experienced cross-cultural communicator and facilitator & has has developed a significant network through her music, broadcasting and facilitation and she has worked for 15+ years as a producer/presenter and is a qualified trainer in community radio.
Kween G is the producer & host of Dancy Dance Time a cultural experience that platforms choreographers presenting stories through movement, engager's communities, and bring fierce energy to the stage through live performance & DJs hosting the iconic Amapiano Night & international Queen of Dancehall Sister Nancy. 2021, Kween G and Lady Lash released a powerhouse track ‘Love for my Sisters’ Produced by Hugh Lake a modern woman warrior anthem which inspired the name for The Australian Women in Music Awards (AWMA) inaugural First Nations Women’s Hip Hop Showcase ,’ Love For My Sisters’. Alongside Dizzy Doolan RedBelly, Hot Brown Honey, Kayla Truth, Hope One and Naiomi Winatong. Kween G critically reflected on her own practice and decided to create an introspective work that speaks to our time and is relatable to all bringing out her Sensible Rebel EP (2022). Her independent single release's from the EP, 'Something in Your Eyes' & The Light are testament to her musical prowess. Kween G is a standout and continues to develop and grow as an advocate for inclusion, social justice and human rights.
