Red Tent Aotearoa- The Power of Positive Touch.
Event description
Join us in the Red Tent on Sunday, 13th December from 3-6 pm to Relax, Recharge, and Reset with the Power of Positive Touch!
After this long year of fear, it's time to end 2020 on a wonderfully nurturing note.
We are very grateful to be welcoming Heidi Jones from Regal Beauty to join us in experiencing the Power of Positive Touch.
We will be learning specialized hand massage and doing magnesium foot soaks.
What to bring:
A towel
A foot bath or tub big enough for your feet
A plate of snacks to share.
The entrance is by koha which makes some people uncomfortable unless I say exactly how much to pay.
However, I believe that you are able to feel into what this is worth and what is affordable and come up with a number

What women want is CONNECTION. Not on a superficial level, but REAL connection and support.
The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support.
We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe.
Red Tent Aotearoa has the aim to connect, collaborate, and create a community of strong and educated women in a supportive & nurturing environment.
We establish community networks and support between women by hosting local gatherings, and events in what we call “Red Tents”.
Red Tent Aotearoa is not religious, we include anyone who identifies as female from 11 years + from all walks of life. It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.
Your Red Tent Host and Facilitator is Jill Genet.
Founder of Red Tent Aotearoa, and Red Tent Australia, Jill Genet is a vibrant, highly skilled facilitator.
She is a colourful change-maker and visionary, with over 20 years of experience running women's circles. She has a strong passion for connecting women to make their dreams come true.
Jill has trained over 100 women from all walks of life and age groups to run their own businesses using Graceful Leadership, a training she wrote in 2015 Many of these women have gone on to lead Red Tents under the banner of Red Tent Australia, a Non-Profit Community Enterprise Movement that Jill began in 2013 and has opened 60+ Red Tents to date.
She has the numerology life path of the Spiritual Messenger and has taken on the role of gathering the tribe to make the necessary change needed at this time in our evolution.
With qualifications in Business and Project Management, Counselling, Compassionate Communication, Meditation, Mediation, Red Tent Facilitation & Yoga Teaching her goal is to educate, awaken and enlighten women to their power, strength, and natural gifts.
Her mission is to support women in opening and running Red Tents in every neighbourhood, all over Australia and now has come home, in Aotearoa.
Jill says “The Red Tent movement is a worldwide one and is needed now more than ever as women awaken to their purpose and power.” She feels it is essential for the growth of our civilisation that women always have a circle of support around them to grow and strengthen them, for our culture, and to nurture the future.
In our society today there is no formal acknowledgment or recognition of the Feminine Divinity. It is still thought to be an “underground” or “alternative” movement, and somewhat threatening to the mainstream. Jill wants to break down the falsehoods & illusions that are too often found in our culture to bring systemic healing into the light. She sees one way of doing this by training women in Non-Violent Communication/Compassionate Communication so that they will be able to experience the ripple effect on their families and humanity at large.
Jill wants everyone to know that belonging to a community should not be about conforming or giving away your power. It should be about becoming a purposeful being who is able to encourage and nurture others while receiving support and compassion yourself. Jill insists that diversity, equity, and inclusion are the only ways forward for leadership and that competition is obsolete. She believes that we have to focus on collaboration to make the changes needed at this pivotal time.
Red Tent Australia has been built on the model of Sacred Commerce; where the number of others you help succeed measures your success. Where asking for help and being open to receiving it are imperative, where shaming and blaming are not acceptable forms of communication. Where providing a holistic approach for women to ‘become’ is the main focus.
The biggest lessons Jill hopes to impart on women are that the possibilities are endless when you feel safe, supported, seen, and heard along with a deep knowing that you are never alone!
She thinks that by remembering and harnessing our ancestral wisdom, re-introducing the 'old ways' of learning from nature and reconnecting to the land will heal us. Along with removing the self-imposed 'masks' that are firmly in place in society, we can all start to work towards healing the earth via healing ourselves.
Jill recently moved home to Ōtautahi, Christchurch in 2020 and is excited to bring the Red Tent movement to Aotearoa. She has a consultancy business that offers Business Mentoring, Coaching, Holistic Counselling, Strategic Development, and Implementation.
Her passion is Fearless Feminine Leadership Development.
