Your Trainers

Jill Genet (Founder and National Coordinator)

Jill is a vibrant, highly skilled facilitator. She is a colourful change-maker and visionary, with a strong passion for connecting women to make their dreams come true. She has the life path of the Spiritual Messenger and has taken on the role of gathering the tribe. She has a wicked sense of humour and shares her message through story telling and laughter.

With over 20 years experience in running women's circles and qualifications in Holistic Counselling, Shamanic Path and Practice, Compassionate Communication, Red Tent Facilitation & Yoga Teaching her goal is to educate, awaken and enlighten women to their power, strength and natural gifts.

Her mission is to support women in the opening and running Red Tents in every neighbourhood, all over Australia. The Red Tent movement is a worldwide one and is needed now more than ever as women awaken to their purpose and power. It is essential for the growth of our civilization that women always have a circle of support around them to grow and strengthen our culture and nurture the future.

In our society today there is no formal acknowledgment or recognition of the Feminine Divinity. It is still thought to be an "underground" or "alternative" movement, somewhat threatening to the mainstream.

Jill wants to break down the falsehoods & illusions that are too often found in our culture and bring healing into the light. She sees one way of doing this by training women in Non-Violent Communication/Compassionate Communication to experience the ripple effect on their families and humanity at large.

She trains women from all walks of life and age groups to lead Red Tents under the banner of Red Tent Australia, a Non-Profit Community Enterprise Movement that she began in 2013 after completing Red Tent Facilitator Training with Tanishka, The Moon Woman.

Jill wants everyone to know that belonging to a community should not be about conforming or giving away your power. It should be about becoming a purposeful being who is able to encourage and nurture others while receiving support and compassion yourself.

Jill believes that competition is obsolete and the only way forward is collaboration. Red Tent Australia is built on the model of Sacred Commerce; where the number of others you help succeed measures your success.

Asking for help and being open to receiving it are the biggest lessons Jill hopes to impart on women, along with a deep knowing that you are never alone!

She thinks that by remembering and harnessing our ancestral wisdom, re-introducing the old ways of nature is the only way forth. Along with removing the self-imposed "masks" that are firmly in place in society, we can all start to work towards healing the earth via healing ourselves.

A WORD FROM JILL

"Welcome, welcome, welcome!!

I started Bayside Red Tent in April of 2013 because I was lonely.

I was never alone; with 6 kids, a loving, supportive husband and a wide circle of acquaintances, I was surrounded by people all the time and yet, I was lonely. What I didn't realise at the time was I need to feel heard and not having anything asked of me for a few hours a month! I actually just needed ME TIME and that WE ALL DO!!

I have been running women's circles for 20 years and am trained in Red Tent facilitation and Holistic Counselling and am a Shamanic Path and Practice student. I'm also a raw food chef and a yoga teacher.

Before coming to Australia in 2011 I lived in America and worked as a make-up artist. It always struck me how many women would sit down in my chair would apologise to me, a total stranger, for the way they looked... I knew how much I wanted to empower women in some way…

My vision is to have Red Tents in every town!!

I started holding gatherings in the Bayside of Brisbane for women in April 2013 every new moon, (a great time to get off the couch and shift that heaviness) and they were a huge success. Our circles are always well attended, fun and a chance for me to connect and reconnect to myself.

So many women have told me how much they appreciate what I do and how much they enjoy coming to Red Tent. They tell me that they have never experienced anything like it before, which is so simple and yet so profound. Just to sit in a room of women and be at peace. No agenda, no pressure, no judgment, no conditions, just connection ahhhhh…..

What a wonderful feeling, being told you're appreciated is one of the most simple and yet incredible things you can hear.

What I want and see working for the community at large is to introduce the concept of having a Red Tent in every neighbourhood, but letting the women, who attend each Red Tent shape the look, feel and flavour.

I train the facilitators in compassionate communication and group facilitation skills and implement a procedure for each circle; giving them rails to run on, but it is up to the individual facilitator to listen to the women who attend her tent and find out what they want to experience each month.

What I've found, and I'm sure you have too, is a level of what I call ‘spiritual snobbery' in the more ‘awakened' circles of women and I am determined to keep that out of RTA!!

A Sacred Community doesn't have to be somber!!

I want everyone to know that belonging to a community should not be about conforming or giving away your power or being made to feel inadequate. It should be about becoming a purposeful being who is able to support and nurture others while receiving support and nurturing yourself.

It is our hope for every woman who enters any Red Tent Australia circle to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.

I want to teach the RTA facilitators how to awaken women and girls who enter the red tent to their natural gifts and talents. I think the main keys to being a successful facilitator with RTA are resilience, compassion and a sense of realness.

I am so excited to be running these trainings for the women who are facilitating Red Tents or interested in becoming Facilitators with Red Tent Australia. The processes and Satsang (teachings) that I will be doing with you will help to open to your greatest potential both within the Red Tent and life in general. I can't wait to welcome you into our sisterhood!"

In the last 2 years she has been holding space under the banner of Red Tent Australia as the facilitator for Gold Coast South Red Tent.

She is a teacher of the Tantric Traditions and holds intimate workshops for women to learn the art of bringing pleasure to their partners and allowing them to receive the gift of touch.

Her desire is for all women from all walks of life to come to an understanding of their worth as the reflection of the Divine Feminine. She believes that each woman is a unique individual who has the potential to bring forth their extraordinary gifts and talents for the betterment of the human race and our Mother Earth. Jada is sincere in wanting you to know that you are loved just as you are, right here, right now…

A word from Jada

I feel very blessed to welcome you into your Red Tent journey as a Facilitator. As women of this time in our world, I strongly believe that when we come together in circle, we genuinely have the power to change the Earthly experience of all people. Not just for those who are walking their path now but for those who have yet to walk the earth. For me sitting in circle is a feeling of Coming Home.

It is a space where all are accepted & welcomed. Where women are encouraged to BE themselves, without their masks and without any judgement, or expectations.

I am so honoured to be stepping up and into the roles of QLD Red Tent Manager and Facilitator Trainer. It is very exciting to share my knowledge & passion for women’s work with you. My commitment to you is to be fully there for you, to encourage you, to applaud you, to assist you in any way I can on your Red Tent Facilitator journey. I will be there to laugh with you, cry with you and simply hold you. I will be that someone who can empathise with you not only as a woman but as a Red Tent Facilitator.

A little background about myself. I was born with a degenerative hereditary neurological disorder called Charcot Marie Tooth. This condition has brought me many challenges as well as many gifts. The challenges are around issues of mobility, balance and strength of my body. My Body imagine and where do I fit in this image conscious world. Are but two issues that have been challenging.

The gifts I have received from living with a physical disability have been countless. They have allowed me to understand what is really important in my life. And that is to live my life from my Heart. As well as having such deep empathy and compassion for all beings of this world and beyond.

My outlook is to give it a go. It truly doesn’t matter how I do something as long as I achieve what my goal was. I no longer give my power away to people who see me as less than.
I am passionate about changing the way society as a whole views people who are perceived to be different. I applaud women who are speaking up to change this damaging and dangerous behaviour.

We as women can no longer permit ourselves to be pitted against each other, rather we must start to build each other up. It is my believe that we cannot quietly standby and allow our young maidens and women to be harmed through Body Shaming and totally unrealistic and unattainable expectations of Social Media. Let us celebrate our diversity, uniqueness and individuality.

I have the privilege of facilitating various types of women’s circles and ceremonies. Of guiding women through our rites of passage, such as 1st Blood (Menarche), Mother Blessings, Birth Blessings through to the Crowning of the Queen, Wise Woman and Crone.
I receive great joy in connecting with women through crafting workshops. There is something magical when we share our knowledge. The giving & receiving of past traditions brought back to life.
My soul is filled with Light when I see the women before me, remember their Divinity. Remembering the ancient rituals and ceremonies that have been forgotten along the way.

Remembering what it is to be Woman. Standing strong in her knowing that she is all she ever needs to BE.
Blissful Blessings
Jada

FAQs for becoming an RTA Facilitator

1. How much does it cost to open a Red Tent Branch?

The total cost for the training is $1,250. There are four modules in total, you must complete all modules before you can join an existing branch as a co-facilitator, or open a new branch. You must complete all four modules within one year.

There is a yearly Branch fee of $250 that covers your insurance, support, marketing, and website.

We will attend your opening circle and support you every step of the way. We supply marketing materials, use of the logo, handbook, name badge, policies and procedures and TONNES OF SUPPORT!

2. Will I make money from being an RTA Facilitator?

Yes! You will receive 100% of your ticket sales! You can hold as many circles and workshops as your schedule permits. We only require you to hold one circle per month and one workshop per quarter. The business model we hand you is built on Sacred Commerce and lets you be able to do as much as you desire.

Run with it and built an empire, we will support you all the way!!

OR hold one circle a month to make some incredible connections and offer the gift of connection to your community, we will support you all the way!!

Our facilitators experience lots of rewards from providing life-changing experiences to the women in their community. We respect your time, talent and experience, so we want to make sure you that you earn an income for your time; the bigger your circle the more you earn. But that should not be the goal… Even if one woman attends it will have been worth it.

3. What about things like Facebook for my branch?

We teach you how to manage your branch's Facebook page/group at the training. We share weekly videos and tips to our facilitators and hold weekly online support circles for all our facilitators. We also have a social media manager who is willing to help with any problems you encounter.

4. Do I have to have insurance?

We have umbrella insurance that you can come under as a branch of RTA.

5. How will I know what to do and say?

We provide you with a handbook that contains scripts for meditations and running orders for each type of circle. We do encourage you to create your own flow. We want each circle to have an individual look, feel and flavour. We just ask that you stick to the same openings and closings at each branch and always treat the Red Tent as Sacred Space.

6. What prior learning or experience do I have to have?

None. But preference will be given to Holistic Wellness Practitioners, Counsellors or Mental Health Experts. Women's well-being leaders.

7. How much time per month does it take to run a branch of RTA?

To start with you will be spending a few hours per week reading everything, learning the ropes and talking to people about your branch and you will love every minute of it. After your branch is established and you have a list of potential topics and guest speakers it will take less time to organise. You will create your events on Humanitix (our ticketing site) and then Facebook and then invite all your connections and ask them to share it. Hanging posters at like-minded businesses is a great idea and putting articles in the free section of your local papers is good too. The actual circle is 2-3 hours once a month plus set up and pull down time. YOU CHOOSE YOUR HOURS! It's completely up to you how much time, effort and energy you put into growing and nurturing your branch, it is your business to grow as you wish!

8. Will I have help?

You will be joining a sisterhood of Facilitators who have a wealth of experience; you will be welcomed with open arms. We run facilitator gatherings and ongoing support via our facilitators and friends Facebook group. We have an Executive Committee that are dedicated to your success and want to help you shine. We have a National Red Tent Co-ordinator and State co-ordinators to answer all your questions and attend your opening ceremony. We also have a facilitator weekend retreat planned each year. So yes, you will have help.

9. I'm a business owner can I talk about my business at my Red Tent?

Yes- if you are a Corporate Member of RTA. With all respect to Tupperware, we do not want to turn RTA circles into Tupperware parties. We encourage business owners to become members of our trusted network of service providers, our alternative economy; our Corporate Directory. We also encourage our facilitators to look to our Corp Members to be special guest speakers at their branches. We want to support our sisters and share the knowledge!!! You can be a special guest at your own branch, just not every month.

10. How do I apply? Please fill in your application here: redtentaustralia.org/facilitator-training-eoi/

Upon your acceptance into the training, a $200 non-refundable, but transferable (within 6 months) deposit will hold your space (payment plans are available via Zip Pay (select upon check out).
