What started as a seed in the red earth is now ready to bloom. This is the moment we’ve all been building toward!

We are beyond proud to finally present to you Western Australia’s first homegrown, custom-built Reggae & Dub Sound System:  The Red Earth Sound System.

Ever since we formed as the Red Earth Dub Circus Collective in early 2021, covered in the red dust of Jilikin Rock City, we dreamed of growing sound system culture on the west coast - roots first. Over the years, we’ve planted that seed and watched it grow with the help of WA’s incredible collectives, festivals, venues, artists from near and far, and the beautiful community that has built itself around the movement.

Every single one of our 25+ events, festival appearances, and REDC takeovers, have been part of a long-term fundraiser to make this vision real.  After 4 years of dreaming, fundraising, research & development, and 2+ years of building, it’s finally here.

For this special occasion, we’re bringing together friends and family who’ve walked this journey with us: from behind the bar, on the lights & decorations, at the door, behind the decks on the mic and on the stage.

This is a true community affair!

The Red Earth Sound System is a labour of love, built from scratch, custom designed, and ready to shake the foundations. Our instrument for creating human connection & collective memories.

For us this doesn’t just represent a sound system. It’s a milestone, for the WA cultural landscape, for grassroots organising, and for everyone in this community who believes in the message and power of conscious music.

A creation by the people, for the people.
