Event description

Redfoot Youth Theatre Group is thrilled to present this spooktacular production of The Addams Family.

The Addamses have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years but this quirky family still has to deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family; and the spookiest nightmare faced by every family creates the focus for this original musical…the Addams kids are growing up!!

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family - a man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.

Everything will change for the whole family when they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents. On this one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they've managed to avoid for generations: change.

Written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and based on Characters Created by Charles Addams, join Gomez, Morticia, Lurch, Grandma, Wednesday and Pugsley and Uncle Fester in this full-scale extravaganza, complete with show stopping musical numbers such as "When You're an Addams".

Featuring a cast of Redfoot members from Year 7 to Year 12, The Addams Family has all the fun you would expect from America's first family of fright.

Dark comedy, mild adult themes, suitable for mature young audiences. Some lighting and explosion effects.
