redfoot youth theatre Presents: MATINEE PERFORMANCE Jesus Christ Superstar
Event description
Our cast of redfoot members from Year 7 to Year 12 are excited to present this timeless piece of theatre.
With classic songs such as “What’s the Buzz”, "Everything’s Alright” and the title song "Jesus Christ Superstar", this poignant and powerful rock opera explores Jesus' meteor-like rise to fame, drawing parallels to contemporary celebrity worship. As his radical teachings are evermore embraced, Judas increasingly questions the enlightened motives of this new prophet, resulting in betrayal.
With Lyrics by Tim Rice and Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Christ’s final days are dramatized with emotional intensity, thought-provoking edge, and explosive theatricality.
