Redgate Beach Clean Up
Event description
Redgate Beach Clean-Up
Sunday 19 October 2025 | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Meeting Place: Redgate Beach Carpark
Join us for a morning of community connection and coastal care at Redgate Beach, as part of the 21st annual WA Beach Clean-Up weekend!
This relaxed, family-friendly event is a chance to roll up your sleeves, meet like-minded locals, and help protect one of our region’s most loved stretches of coast.
About the Event
We’ll spend the morning combing the sands at Redgate to collect marine debris and litter, contributing valuable data to the Australian Marine Debris Initiative (AMDI) database — a national citizen science project coordinated by Tangaroa Blue Foundation.
The WA Beach Clean-Up is a statewide event held each October, bringing together communities, schools, and groups across Western Australia to remove thousands of kilograms of rubbish from our coastline. Now in its 21st year, the program not only removes debris but helps identify its sources, shaping national strategies to reduce marine pollution at its origin.
This event also marks the launch of Friends of Redgate — an emerging, community-led group with an environmental focus, dedicated to caring for this special stretch of coastline. This clean-up is the first of many hands-on activities we’ll host to care for Country and protect our coast for future generations. Please let us know if you'd like to join and be apart of shaping the group!
