Reef, Climate & Energy Forum: Meet the Candidates
Event description
Far North Queensland is on the frontlines of climate change - our summers are getting hotter, our Reef is under pressure, and catastrophic floods threaten our homes and businesses. As we approach the federal election, it’s time to talk about real solutions to keep energy affordable, protect reef tourism jobs, and strengthen our community’s resilience.
This forum is your chance to hear from local candidates as we ask them about their plans to:
✅ Lower energy costs and ensure reliable power for households and businesses
✅ Strengthen disaster resilience to safeguard homes, health and infrastructure
✅ Protect the Great Barrier Reef - our treasured natural wonder and heart of FNQ’s economy.
