Event description
Reel Connections: Fishing and Waterway Workshop
Wollondilly Shire Council is running a Reel Connections: Fishing and Waterway Workshop at Douglas Park Weir on Saturday 6 December between 7:45am-12pm.
Participants will learn how to fish responsibly and what they can do to help protect our local waterways for generations to come.
This free event is guided by experienced presenters where participants will learn:
- Sustainable fishing practices and safe fish handling,
- Identifying pest species and humane euthanasia,
- How to keep Wollondilly’s waterways healthy,
- NSW fishing rules, regulations and catch limits, and
- Wollondilly’s unique ecology around our waterways – including our native Platypus, Freshwater Mussels, Rakali (Water Rat), Macquarie Perch and many more.
