REFINING YOUR VOICE
Made up of two face-to-face workshops - Artist CVs and Artist Statements and Bios - these face-to-face workshops with workshop facilitator Anne Masters are each two hours long followed by a 15min 'tips on how to express your idea with clarity' session.
'Artist CVs and Artist Statements and Bios are the most crucial documents artists need.
Often artists think ‘mine are fine’. Yet in many cases, these are the least focused documents and often make or break your chance for an EOI, grant, award or residency.
These workshops will deliver outcomes that will benefit you the artist in seeking to improve your professional development and business basics. The workshops also include minor editing of each participant’s document and individual post-workshop feedback.

Both workshops will be held at The Imaginarium, Shellharbour Village on Wednesday 8 May 2024
- Refine your artist CV – 10am to 12.15pm
- Writing Artist Statements and Bios – 1.00pm to 3.15pm
You may attend either one or both workshops.

About Ann Masters
Anne Masters is Director/Owner of award-winning Gallery of Small Things (GOST) located on Ngunnawal/Ngrambi peoples land, Canberra. She has worked in the arts, marketing and communication sectors for more than 25 years and tourism for 7 years. Anne has held workshops in Canberra, Goulburn and Orange to assist artists improve their CVs, write clearer and succinct Artist Statements and Bios, apply for grants, enter prizes and much more. Anne has been invited to judge prizes, selected to assess artists/key art organisations respectively on their grant/funding applications and presented to art industries and universities about running a successful business and being a professional, practising artist.
