ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The river red gum is an iconic tree species of the Australian landscape.
For anyone who has grown up along our inland rivers, this majestic tree has provided the backdrop for a myriad of memories. We have climbed its branches, collected its leaves and gumnuts, and played and rested in its shade.
This stunning exhibition has been created by local artists, makers and writers as their creative response to this important cultural species. It’s their love letter to a river red gum.
Light refreshments will be provided for this exhibition launch and FREE weaving workshop.
