Farewell Sarah! Sharp reflections on three decades of conservation

Let us talk grassy ecosystems!

Friends of Grasslands, Landcare ACT and the ACT Government invite you to an evening celebrating Sarah Sharp and her remarkable 35 years of contribution to grassy ecosystem conservation in the ACT. As an ecologist who has worked in Canberra since the 1990s, Sarah has helped shape the way we understand, protect and restore our region’s grassy ecosystems. As Sarah prepares to move interstate, this event is a special chance for our community to come together, recognise her impact and wish her well.

Alongside Sarah, hhe session will also include insights from Hon. Prof. Sue McIntyre (ANU), Dr Brett Howland (ACT Government) and Dr David Shorthouse, with the conversation guided by Friends of Grasslands President Prof Jamie Pittock as MC.

After the talks, stay for light refreshments and connect with colleagues, volunteers, collaborators and friends who have been part of this work across many years.

As we are catering, please ensure you reserve a space - If you reserve a space and can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket by following the 'manage ticket' link on your confirmation email.

Join us as we acknowledge Sarah’s leadership, celebrate the progress she has helped drive and look ahead to the future of our grassy ecosystems together.
