Reflexology student clinic Adelaide
Description
Adelaide Student Reflexology Clinic – Become a Model
Would you like to enjoy a relaxing reflexology treatment while helping our students develop their practical skills and confidence?
ASRR welcomes members of the public to participate as student reflexology clinic models at our Adelaide training sessions. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience reflexology in a friendly learning environment while making a valuable contribution to the training of future reflexologists.
What happens during your treatment?
Your treatment will be carried out by an ASRR student as part of their practical training. Students are guided and supervised by an experienced tutor throughout the clinic.
Before your treatment, the student will discuss your general health and wellbeing and explain what will happen. You will then receive a relaxing reflexology treatment while the student practices their techniques and develops their professional confidence.
As this is a student clinic, treatments are part of the learning process and may take a little longer than a standard treatment while the student receives guidance and feedback.
Benefits of becoming a model
Being a clinic model is more than simply receiving a treatment. You are helping a student gain the practical experience they need to become a confident reflexology practitioner.

FAQs
- What about training for a career- can i join a class?
What About Training for a Career in Reflexology?
Yes! If you are interested in turning your interest in reflexology into a career or professional practice, you can join one of our training pathways.
Our courses are designed for people who want to learn reflexology properly, develop practical confidence and work towards a recognised professional qualification. You do not need to have any previous experience in reflexology to get started.
Start with an Introduction to Reflexology
If you are completely new to reflexology, our Introduction to Reflexology course is an excellent place to begin.
You will learn the foundations of reflexology, including the history and principles of the therapy, foot anatomy, reflex areas, basic techniques, treatment routines, client care and practical skills.
Our introductory classes are hands-on and provide the opportunity to practise techniques with tutor guidance. They are also a great way to find out whether reflexology is something you would like to pursue as a career before committing to a longer qualification.
Want to take it further?
If you decide that reflexology is something you would like to build into a career, you can continue into our Diploma in Reflexology pathway.
The diploma provides much more comprehensive training, including:
Foot reflexology
Hand reflexology
Ear reflexology
Facial reflexology
Anatomy and physiology
Understanding health conditions and contraindications
Professional client care
Treatment planning
Practical treatment experience
Business and professional practice
Supervised clinic experience
Theory and practical assessments
You will also complete the required practical treatments and assignments as part of your training.
Can I study around work and family?
Yes. One of the advantages of our training is that we understand that many adult students have work, family and other commitments.
The diploma pathway is designed to be flexible, and students can work through the course at a pace that suits their circumstances. Many students aim to complete within approximately 12–24 months, while others may take longer.
You can attend face-to-face training days, complete your learning materials and practical requirements, and continue developing your skills between classes.
What if I don't want to commit to the full diploma yet?
You don't have to.
You can begin with individual workshops and specialist classes to build your knowledge and experience. For example, you can study subjects such as:
Respiratory reflexology
Lymphatic reflexology
Hormonal reflexology
Endocrine reflexology
Facial reflexology
Hand reflexology
Ear reflexology
Reflexology for specific health topics
Some of these classes can later contribute towards your diploma pathway, depending on the course and your individual training plan.
Small classes and practical learning
We believe practical experience is an important part of becoming a confident reflexologist. Our classes provide opportunities to work hands-on rather than simply learning from a textbook.
Students receive guidance from experienced tutors and have opportunities to practise techniques, ask questions and receive feedback.
What can you do after training?
Once you have completed your qualification and met the required course and assessment requirements, you can look at a range of professional opportunities, depending on your individual circumstances and industry requirements.
Reflexologists may work:
From their own treatment room or home-based practice.
In a complementary health clinic.
Alongside massage or beauty therapists.
In wellness centres and spas.
In aged-care or community settings where appropriate.
As a mobile practitioner.
As part of a multidisciplinary complementary therapy practice.
You can also continue your education and add specialist reflexology and complementary therapy skills to your professional portfolio.
Start your journey
If you are unsure whether reflexology is right for you, come along to an introductory class first. You can experience the practical side of reflexology, meet the tutor and other students, and get a feel for what training involves.
From there, we can discuss the most suitable pathway for you, whether that is attending individual workshops for interest or progressing towards a professional diploma.
You don't have to decide on your entire career journey on your first day. Start by learning, practising and discovering whether reflexology is the right path for you.
