Event description

Let's create the tomorrow the arts deserve!

Do you want to see arts, culture and creativity valued as essential to our wellbeing and communities?

Would you like to see increased support and investments for the arts?

Then arts advocacy is for you!

In this workshop we will explore the foundations of effective advocacy, discuss "grassroots" and "grasstops" strategies, practice casemaking and learn about local and state policy levers. And you will leave with next steps to take to build relationships with your representatives and establish a regional advocacy network.

Facilitator: Tracy Hudak

Director of Field Engagement, CA for the Arts

Tracy is a Ventura County-based artist, advocate and consultant who has worked at the intersections of art and economic and community development for over 20 years.
