Here's the problem...

The weekly team meeting. The monthly forum. The project check-in. These familiar meetings easily fall into familiar patterns. And start to feel stale.

But they are also opportunities to draw on people’s experience, work through challenges and decide what happens next.

When they work well, people leave feeling their contribution mattered and clearer about how to move forward.

But usually, the same people speak. Others hold back. Updates fill the agenda, and “Any thoughts?” is met with silence. You find yourself carrying the conversation, wondering how to bring everyone else into it.

Over time, those routines can mean useful ideas go unspoken, different perspectives are missed and people leave without a clear next step.

What could change if you could boost meaningful participation?

Liberating Structures offer simple, practical ways to design interactions so more people have space to think, contribute and build on one another’s ideas.

A small change to how you open a discussion, invite perspectives or explore next steps can make an everyday meeting more useful.

Join us for a 60-minute live, interactive taster to experience what that could look like.

Experience it and see where you could use it

Together, we’ll:

Explore together what makes participation challenging (using a Liberating Structure ;)
Unpack what made the interaction different, so you can understand how to use it.
Hear a real case study about applying LS in everyday People & Culture work.
Explore a meeting of your own, with peer support to identify one small change you could make.

You don’t need previous experience with Liberating Structures or be an official facilitator.

Bring your curiosity and a regular meeting you’d like to refresh.

Better still, bring a colleague who is also keen to flip the script on stale meetings run by P&C.

You’ll leave with a practical experiment to try the next time you bring people together.

Who is this for?

People & Culture, HR, OD and L&D practitioners, team leaders, project leads, facilitators and anyone else who wants the meetings they convene to draw on more of what people have to offer.

Your invitation

Think of one meeting where you’d love to hear more perspectives, get people thinking together or leave with clearer action.

Bring that meeting. Experience another way. Choose your first small change.

This is a participatory session, with individual reflection and small-group conversations. Please join from somewhere you can speak and listen, with a working microphone and camera where possible.
