Refreshed Statement of Commitment Launch

We invite you to join the Minister for Child Protection at the signing of the updated Statement of Commitment!

Following recent consultation, the Department for Child Protection (DCP) is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the reinvigorated Statement of Commitment to foster and kinship carers. All current family-based carers are invited to attend a special event hosted by the Minister for Child Protection, the Chief Executive of DCP and the Chief Executive Officers of Connecting Foster and Kinship Carers SA and Child and Family Focus SA.

The event will be an opportunity to connect with other carers and hear directly from the Minister for Child Protection about the state government's and her commitment to South Australia’s carers. Light refreshments will be available. Please note, spaces are limited.

DCP acknowledges the vital role foster and kinship carers play in supporting children and young people to grow, develop and reach their full potential. To best support the current needs of carers, we have refreshed our Statement of Commitment. We appreciate the time many carers took to provide feedback on the Statement of Commitment refresh. Feedback from carers, DCP and agency staff and the peak bodies has significantly informed the updated Statement of Commitment.
