Whether you’re joining us at the Ball or supporting us from afar, we’re incredibly grateful. Your donation is part of something much bigger: helping people from refugee backgrounds recover, rebuild and create what comes next.

Your support will help young people build their futures

This year, one of our major fundraising focuses is young people from refugee backgrounds aged 18-24 in NSW.

This can be a particularly challenging transition. As young people leave childhood and school behind, many of the support structures they have relied upon begin to fall away, at exactly the time they are navigating further education, employment, independence and their future.

We don’t simply want to stop young people from falling through the cracks. We want to give them the skills, confidence, connections and opportunities to thrive, and to become the leaders we know they can be, in their communities and in Australia.

Funds raised through the Ball will help support STARTTS’ 2027 Youth Leadership Camps, creating opportunities for young people to connect, build confidence, develop leadership skills and imagine what might be possible for their future.

Your support will also contribute to the vital international work of the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (IRCT) and its global network supporting survivors of torture.

And you can still be part of the Ball!

We’ll be in touch before the Ball with opportunities to buy raffle tickets for some fantastic prizes and to bid remotely in our silent auction, including a two-night luxury villa stay at Magenta Shores valued at around $1,900, with more prizes to be announced.
